Kaz Hirai was recently questioned about the high price of the PS3 on CNN Money. He defended the price saying:
“I think when you look at what we put into the box – Cell, Blu-Ray, backwards compatibility, the ability to go online – I think it’s a very compelling package.”
He also spoke about the cheaper SKU saying:
“The only difference is HDMI – and at this point, I don’t think many people’s TV’s have that.”
What? Wasn’t “True” HD the whole point of cramming Blu-ray into the PS3 in the first place? Sony’s marketing is addling my brain…

No HDMI, no rumble, no new controller, no wireless, no flashcard readers….
They pretty much force you to buy the expensive version. Except you still get the same controller with no rumble. That’s going to feel so weird…
I think dat it might not sell to well 2 start off with, there’s 2 reason for this
1)Everyone i know that i tell them what the PS3 price i going to be says “im gonna wait till it goes down in price.
2)The games coming out for the PS3 are gonna be expensive as well.
I think that the PS3 is only really goin to be bought by that “rich guy” you know (everybody knows one) just to show off.
